Choose the projects you would like to complete!
You must choose projects that add up to at least 20 points.
You may complete up to 24 points for 4 extra credit points. 

-     Weather Poem = 2 points
o    Write a poem using the following words: rain, snow, sleet and hail. Only one poem using all four words.  

-       Weather Puzzle = 2 points
o    Create a crossword puzzle using 15 weather terms.  

-       Cloud Puzzle = 2 points
o    Develop a jigsaw illustrate the three main types of clouds: cumulous, cirrus, and stratus 

-       Weather Journal = 10 points
o    Keep a weather journal for 5 days. Collect data on 5 variables (ex. Temperature, cloud coverage, humidity, rainfall, etc.)  You may use the data we collect in class.
o    Then create a poster (8.5 x 11) to display your data 

-       Children’s Story = 10 points
o    Write a children’s story about the weather for any winter holiday in Illinois, California, Florida and New York 

-       Weather Instrument = 10 points
o    Make a weather instrument.  Use the instrument to collect weather data and make a data chart to record your measurement for 5 days.  

-       Meteorologists = 6 points
o    What does a meteorologist do?
o     What does a person have to do to become a meteorologist?
o     Use the information you learn to create an advertisement for the job. 

-       Storm Safety = 8 points
o    Create a Storm Safety Poster to educate people about lightning, blizzards, thunderstorms, tornados and hurricanes.  

-       Air Experiments: 16 points
o    Use the Scientific Method to answer this question: Does Air have mass?
o    Be sure to write a report detailing the steps in your experiments and the results.
